Malibu Tree & Landscape: Our Story

Ed Salven, owner/designer is a multi-media artist. An art and design major throughout school, he has attended UCLA and London University. He has successfully beautified properties to his client’s desires, special requests, and ultimate satisfaction, producing unique, aesthetic, low maintenance, and enduring landscape designs for over thirty years. Be it a single-family condo or town house, to high-end estates situated on acreage, or upscale commercial complexes. In addition to being trained as a practicing tree surgeon and arborist, for over ten years, he has studied extensively in the horticultural and arborist fields with plant and specimen tree growers – those individuals who actually are in the field. He was also a primary native oak and sycamore consultant for years along the coastal areas.

California Pools, franchised under Richard Swift submitted and won best in annual show two separate years submitting original pool designs by Malibu Tree & Landscape. California Pools installed the pools as a subcontractor for Malibu Tree & Landscape.

Malibu Tree and Landscape also won ‘Community Best in Show’ awards on several occasions, earning ‘First Place’ when submitted by the client to the Community Home Owners Landscape Board, as in Huntington Harbor, Huntington Beach, California, as well as honorable mention in the private gated community of Bell Canyon, California.
